Introducing ShoreSpace - the arts
portal linking North Shore and Rodney artists and artisans, creatives
and designers with the world…
We are offering a unique opportunity to the creatives in our midst
- a state-of-the arts portal for the marketing and promotion of
your arts-based activity, skill or programme.
Our site offers:
- Easy access to arts information, about events and or creative
opportunities in our city
- Easy profiling of you or your arts-based business
- Highly interactive to get maximum linkage and cross connection
between all arts; creative industry providers; producers and technicians
across our city:
- Information about a wide range of sector interests:
- In the Visual Arts: Exhibitions, workshops, symposia, lectures
in; Painting, drawing, printing, etching, sculpture, ceramics,
glass, soft sculpture, textile artworks, patchwork, quilting,
embroidery
- The Literary Arts: Writers workshops, festivals, readings,
book launches
- The Performing Arts: Dance, Drama, other mixed theatricals,
Circus- type initiatives, plays, Music, contemporary music,
CD or DVD launches, Brass Bands, Ensembles, choirs, solo artists,
mixed media events
- The Multi-dimensional Arts - events: Markets or Craft markets
with a high component of hand-made arts and or crafts available,
Art Film events (as opposed to commercial showings), Festivals
with a significant Arts Component via music or dance or visual
arts etc, and,
- For Technical Supporters of the Creative Industries: Information
relating to arts-based initiatives such as workshops, training,
skills-based opportunities relating to lighting, sound, audio-visual
training, publicity, marketing

Interested in Art?
Whether it is creating art or just enjoying it, the Estuary Arts
Centre are looking for interested people to join our Estuary Arts
Centre team as gallery assistants. The work is volunteer and for
one half day a week, and gives you the opportunity to meet with
both art patrons and artists, learn about the operation of an Art
Gallery, and be involved in the community.
If you are interested in participating please contact David Poole
at the Estuary Arts Centre on 426 5570
The only pre requisite is that you have a keen interest in art (any
form) and that you have a sense of responsibility and enjoy working
as part of a team. Training and support will be provided.
We currently are looking for people for Friday afternoons and Sunday
mornings, but other positions may come up throughout the year.
The Arts Forum Committee - we need your help!
If anyone is interested in taking a more active part in the Arts
Forum, we are looking for keen people to join our committee and
assist us in running TAFI and participating in supporting the Estuary
Arts Centre team.
If you feel you would like to be involved, please don't hesitate
to enquire, any assistance you can offer, even if only a small amount
of time or experience will be a great support to the existing committee,
remember all are welcome!!! There are two options available, either
to be elected onto the committee or to volunteer your assistance
as a support person to assist various existing committee members
who carry out the huge range of jobs/tasks to ensure smooth running
for both Tafi and the Estuary Arts Centre.

Wanted - Art Tutors/Teachers
Tutors and teachers interested in holding your classes at the Estuary
Arts Centre, our beautiful new venue?
Please contact David Poole on 426 5570 if you are interested in
running classes, courses, talks or lessons at the Estuary venue.
All enquiries are welcome. Any artistic discipline or art
related tuition enquiry will be welcomed, including adults and children's
classes, drawing, painting, art display, education and promotional
classes and courses.
